NARCAN Training for the Community
Education is an important weapon in the fight against substance abuse and addiction. Everyone will get a Free NARCAN kit provided by Fake Is Real and Northampton County.
After attending this program, participants will:
- know about the different types of opioids
- identify signs & symptoms of opioid abuse & overdose
- appreciate the impact that drug misuse has on the individual, his family & coworkers and on the workplace atmosphere
- know how to safely store & dispose of prescription medications
- identify community resources for people facing addiction, as well as for those who care about them
- know how to administer NARCAN, a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.
