After attending this program, participants will:

• know about the different types of opioids;
• identify signs & symptoms of opioid abuse & overdose;
• appreciate the impact that drug misuse has on the individual, his family & coworkers and on the workplace atmosphere;
• know how to safely store & dispose of prescription medications;
• identify community resources for people facing addiction, as well as for those who care about them;
• know how to administer NARCAN, a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.
